Freed from the useless worrying about sales and promotion, I am looking over the final volume of The Green Woman. There will be a few final adjustments but I am pleased with how it has turned out.
Some of the passages startle me a little as they were written before I started writing poetry, but the images are there in embryo. My writing style has changed over the course of the story, and has become more lyrical (if I dare use such a loaded word) and more detached from the expectations of YA literature. There is no reason at all why teenage readers shouldn’t enjoy this story, but I hope that it will appeal to adults just as well.
