It’s piss…er raining rather heavily.
The longed-for-rain has arrived at last, along with thunder and lightning. I treated myself to a laptop desk, £6.99 from B & M, and was unpacking it, when a crack of thunder reverberated right outside my window. I nearly had heart failure and dropped the laptop desk. Fortunately it landed on its padded bottom and was undamaged.
Good job I didn’t land on my bottom, as I’ve lost loads of weight recently. My backside’s now so bony it would’ve hurt like hell! The cat, who was sitting on the windowsill, didn’t bat an eyelid, merely turned her head, when I squawked, and gave me a funny look, as if to say, for God’s sake, get a grip, then turned back to watching the storm. I thought animals were supposed to be scared of storms? Not Meg, she’s as hard as nails.
Well they do say be careful what you wish for, as I’ve recently been bemoaning the hot weather and constant sunshine. That said, all I wanted was a bit of rain and a few clouds and what do I get? The weather’s version of one of Wagner’s operas! Sheesh – talk about overkill.
