A writer’s journey

book fayre

I have to admit that my second book in The Silver flute trilogy has been hard work. Why? Because I wanted to make this story just as worth reading as the first. This meant developing some of the original characters, making them evolve, if you will, and, of course, “killing” off some of my darlings.

But it’s done. At last I’ve written the last chapter of Through the Gloaming and have begun to edit with a vengeance. Am I happy? Well yes – but I’ll be even happier when the final polish has been added and my “baby” is sent out into the great world of reading.

So, as tough as it’s been, it’s been well worthwhile and has increased my love of storytelling even more.

I am and always will be a writer, first and foremost.
