Birthdays, shopping sprees and writing.

So I’m another year older, if not wiser, and had a lovely day yesterday. Apart from a mad shopping spree in the morning, I had a nice, relaxing time, filled with birthday cards, cake and sunshine; I even managed to get some writing done, so was filled with self-satisfied well being. Such oasis of happiness are few and far between and I shall always remember this particular birthday for thatย  feeling of contentment, which alas, isย  all too rare for many of us.

Naturally most people resent getting older – or at least looking it –ย  but for now at least, I’ve come to terms with it. I’ve learned a wealth of knowledge over the past few years, concerning my craft, and I think my writing’s benefited from it. So, as the years roll by, I hope to continue to learn and evolve, for with age comes experiences both good and bad, contributing to our growth as individuals and if we have any sense at all, we will bear in mind every scrap of knowledge that comes our way.

  1. Another lovely post honey. So SOOOO glad you had a lovely birthday, you really deserve it honey. This has been a monumental year for the AWB and you, honey, are the heart of the Alliance…don’t tell the Dark Lord! You deserve every success with Midnight and Gloaming and every book you pen thereafter.

Sending hugs and good karma to drive away those discontented days! ๐Ÿ˜€ xx

  2. Thanks guys. ๐Ÿ˜€

  3. I’m glad you’re enjoying your birthday to its full potential. As adults, we don’t always give ourselves permission to have a day just for ourselves. Life should be celebrated, and you have a lot worth celebrating. You’re a published author, a damned good writer, and a wonderful friend to writers in your midst. Celebrate!
